ViaMobile is a cell phone-based breaking news service intent on delivering bit-sized news items of your pre-defined, keyword choice to you wherever you are.
What is pre-defined? ViaMobile uses a keyword-based system of choice, so only the subscribers’ specified topics or company names will be transmitted.
What is bite-sized? Articles are seldom more than 80 words, so a factual overview of a story is all that is necessary, and fits neatly onto your mobile.

What is Loopback? Registered subscribers are provided with a sms loopback number. Any keywords sms’d to the ViaMobile server will search for, and retrieve, the latest news items in an average return time of thirty seconds. This is very useful if you are looking for news outside your subscription keywords.
ViaMobile publishing has an industry-specific publication for every industry sector.
Daily publications are emailed from 7:00am weekdays in pdf format or a text format for mobile devices.
News before it becomes news: ViaMobile allows web-based access to each publication while it is being compiled - so tomorrow’s news stories are available today, even before publication.
Personal archive: each subscriber has a database of all keyword sms’s that have been allocated. This information is available through the web interface, and becomes particularly useful for reference purposes, and for leisure times when the subscriber has placed the cell phone off air. This means you never miss a thing.
